Asexuality as a label isn’t just valid, it’s super god damned important to the people who identify with it. It isn’t just “oh yay i’m ace” it’s “Oh my god I thought there was something wrong with me but now I realise there isn’t and that’s extremely helpful for me.”

Being asexual is such a diverse and unique experience but alnost every ace person I’ve talked to felt like they were ill or broken before they realised they were asexual. Being asexual is realising that you are still allowed to be happy and exist as a person without the worry that there’s something wrong. It’s validation of your experiences and it means something amazing to us.

Asexuality is valid, yes, but it’s also important. Never forget that.
