I will be the first person to tell you that my brain is absolutely NOT an okay place. I feel like no one ever really believes me. That was made even more obvious this morning when I spent my entire night having this super intense movie in my brain. When I got into work, because work people are the only social interaction I ever get, I asked one of my coworkers if it’s considered human farming if aliens who invade a planet mostly inhabited by humans (such as earth) and the invading aliens then basically herded as many humans as they could convince into a place like Wisconsin. The reasoning being that adrenaline and fear and stuff cause horrible tastes so the aliens want the humans to be easy to catch and tasty when they need to eat us.
I mean, this was a fully visual, 3D-movie quality story that my brain played for me and it seriously lasted all night. Because it started with the invasion and the resistance and the government wanting to study the aliens, so they aliens set a trap for us on our own home turf in the “secret research area” and then the aliens (which, honestly, looked a lot like xenomorphs and had similar traits) overran the entire facility and then even tricked a bunch of humans into working for the aliens and herding their own human people into the designated farming area. But there was at least one of the humans working on the alien side whose motives I questioned throughout the whole thing because it seemed like he was working to get the aliens complacent in order to destroy them all at the source? He was a ginger with a full beard and goatee and half of his head used cyborg parts. I got the feeling the cyborg parts had a super subtle code back to the human resistance or something?
I woke up when the humans had crossed the mountains with their free-range humans and gotten them to the first of the “human settlements” which was actually designed as a farm.
So. Yeah. That’s tiny parts of my brain.
