“At some point when somebody else comes along, and I don’t have specifics, sorry … but I told them. Just rest assured – I said very specifically: I will be part of the journey again. I will audition with her. I will make sure that she’s the one. That she’s right. And I will make sure that she’s invested, just like Flo – please hear me on this. But I will also make sure that if it happens, it happens – and it STAYS. So I said, keep it and make it for real. Make sure that it’s for real. I know there will be ups and downs. But DO NOT MESS WITH this community.”

We put up a good fight…but now we only have 60 days to turn this around. There is still ONE thing we can all do!!!!!
There’s something called the Congressional Review Act (CRA) that can be used to stop the FCC. We just need ONE MORE VOTE to win the Senate!!!
For those who missed my last giant post a few months ago, last year, the FCC voted to repeal the Obama regulations designed to protect a fair and open internet. If these regulations are knocked down, providers like Comcast, AT&T, and Verizonwill have EVERY RIGHT to slow down internet speeds to those who aren’t on their more expensive plans. Even further, they have the power to censor and regulate what we see online. MORE further, they’d even have the power to slow down competitors’ streaming speeds, like Netflix, to make their own services more appealing. THIS SHIT IS NOT RIGHT!!!!!
First thing you can do is to GET OFF YOUR ASS (OR ON IT IF YOU’RE AT A COMPUTER…) and take 20 seconds to sign this!!!! Second thing is to SHARE THIS CAMPAIGN WITH EVERYONE!!!
There’s going to be a huge protest on Feb 27th that I’ll be taking part in. The above link goes into detail on what YOU can do on that day. Please guys. Don’t just sit there and let this happen. THIS IS OUR LAST CHANCE! THIS IS OUR INTERNET!!!! NOW FUCKING DO SOMETHING!!!!
Just voted now! TAKES ONLY 5 SECONDS, SAVE NET NEUTRALITY! Please!
One thing I’ve noticed about this thing is that a lot of people think “oh since this is really important, lots of people will be doing this, so I’m not going to bother.”
PLEASE BOTHER!!!!! MINDSETS LIKE THIS CAN AND WILL STAND IN THE WAY OF WINNING BACK OUR RIGHTS!!!!!!!!

trying to find quality asexual content in fandom like
I hate to be That Asshole ruining a post that’s meant to be funny, but could we stop acting like there aren’t authors out there (me included) busting their asses to provide stories with asexual characters? And those stories span the genres? So stop acting like they don’t exist, and try supporting the authors who living the ‘write what you want to read’ and ‘if you can’t find it, write it’ credos that everyone is forever screaming when people complain “I can’t find X”
The stories are there.
*indicates books I haven’t read yet (but own). Otherwise, I have read them (and if it matters, I am asexual)
This is enough. Ajit Pai has already succeded MULTIPLE TIMES and you can expect the full removal of net neutrality on APRIL 23RD OF THIS YEAR. We can still contact our senators, we can still fight as hrd as we can, but even though 23 states are suposedly suing for the repeal of this, we need to help it along.
In case people forgot what Net Neutrality is: it is a series of laws that ensure everyone free and fair access to the internet. Without them, you will be charged for the sites you use on top of an already high internet bill. This means creators like us cannot post and be seen. Thia means that smaller schools will havebto switch to out of date text books. This means that starter IT projects that could make our lives better will die because noone can support an online presence that noone can afford to see.
And the list goes on and on and on. I have frienda who have to make their livings through commissions and working online because of multiple health issues. I have friends trying to publish books, post art, post voice acting snippets that will not be seen without these laws.
Please support Net Neutrality and contact your senators!!! This is so important to everyone you know, AND WE JUST NEED ONE SENATOR TO TURN THE TIDE!!!
““When I was about 20 years old, I met an old pastor’s wife who told me that when she was young and had her first child, she didn’t believe in striking children, although spanking kids with a switch pulled from a tree was standard punishment at the time. But one day, when her son was four or five, he did something that she felt warranted a spanking–the first in his life. She told him that he would have to go outside himself and find a switch for her to hit him with. The boy was gone a long time. And when he came back in, he was crying. He said to her, “Mama, I couldn’t find a switch, but here’s a rock that you can throw at me.” All of a sudden the mother understood how the situation felt from the child’s point of view: that if my mother wants to hurt me, then it makes no difference what she does it with; she might as well do it with a stone. And the mother took the boy into her lap and they both cried. Then she laid the rock on a shelf in the kitchen to remind herself forever: never violence. And that is something I think everyone should keep in mind. Because if violence begins in the nursery one can raise children into violence.””
