i see your Friends to Lovers trope and raise you Lovers Back to Friends. because healthy, amicable breakups are good and sometimes your ex can still be your good buddy

you wild for thinking anyone on this website has ever broken up without also destroying no less than three friend groups and generating six callout posts in the process

My ex and my partner’s ex are both coming to our engagement party. Also possibly partner’s ex’s most recent ex as well.

@star-anise #THIS is the kinda representation i want in my fiction #GIVE ME THE PARTIES WHERE YOU’RE IN YOUR THIRTIES AND HALF THE PEOPLE HAVE ALL SLEPT TOGETHER

i’ve been quoting this podcast a lot lately but, LGBTQ&A | Chelsey Johnson: Portland’s Queer Mythology talks about chosen families that are a mesh of friends and current partners and ex-partners of everyone involved. it also talks about her book Stray City, which i haven’t read but sounds fun.

lol all my parties are like that. i also used to date my best friend. welcome to your thirties, keep awesome people in your life.
