• Think about the light source/ background and how it effects the clothes
• Clothes, just like a character should be seen as 3D object
• There can be multiple shadows 

• You’ll see darker shadows the further a object is away from the light or when objects overlap each other eg: folds in cloth 
• The closer a object is to the light, the brighter the highlights 

• Think about what kind of light it is eg: Warm or cold
• Think about the type of shading you want eg: Soft or Hard
• Most importantly use real life reference for practice
